Carpet Cleaning – 10 Step Process
Sureclean uses a 10 step professional carpet cleaning process to ensure the best possible cleaning outcomes.
1. Pre Inspection – Brian will walk through your home or business with you and visually inspect the carpet, he will identify any permanent stains and give you an expert evaluation of expected results and gladly answer any questions you may have. Carpet fibre types will be identified to ensure the most suitable chemicals and methods are used to best effect. We shall also address any safety concerns at this point.
2. Move Furniture – Our standard cleaning prices include moving small items such as chairs and small tables, sofas can be moved on sliders where possible however sideboards, dressers and other heavy pieces are left in place as is anything with valuables/ornaments or heavy tv units.
3. Thorough Vacuum – Using a hospital grade professional vacuum your carpets are vacuumed with a powerful beater bar (if suitable) and as much loose soil as possible is removed.
4. Pre Spot – Difficult spots are pre- treated with professional solutions to increase chances of removal, quite often stains will be lifted onto terry toweling after a tamping process.
5. Pre spray – A suitable pre conditioning agent is applied to breakdown ground in foot traffic soil and staining.
6.Pre agitate/groom – All presprays are agitated into the carpet to ensure all fibre has the pre treatments applied and to help detach soils and stains to be suspended in the pre treatments.
7. Hot water extraction – Using the very best of carpet soil extraction machine the Airflex Storm machine will pump in hot water at up to 400psi and suck out the soil at the same time conditioning your carpets with a suitable PH balancing chemical. This ensures that the sticky residues associated with the rented and domestic shampoo machines are completely removed and resoiling prevented.
8. Post spot treatment – Any stubborn stains remaining will be be treated again until no further improvement is possible (please note we cannot guarantee stain removal, but will carry out to our very best endeavours) NB To prevent future staining and to aid spot removal by the customer we can apply professional carpet protector.
9. Post Groom – Your carpet is groomed with a professional grooming brush so that your pile is standing tall when finished, this reset of the carpet pile will also aid the drying process.
10. Air Movers – Your carpets will have high volume speed driers applied to move moist air out – please allow us to open windows! these will remain in place whilst Brian and the customer have a final walk through and equipment is returned to the van.
Customer Advice
Before we arrive.
- Please remove any breakables, including any items within
- furniture that we will need to move (we can clean around display cabinets etc should you prefer)
- Remove any small items of furniture
- Please ensure hot water is available and if possible, parking for the operative’s van is made available as close to the property as possible.
While we are there.
- Please be careful not to slip if stepping from damp carpet to hard Flooring.
- Beware trip hazards from hoses and power cables.
- Please ensure any children are supervised.
- We can supply overshoes should you need to walk on damp carpet.
After we have gone.
- Take care when stepping from damp carpet to hard flooring – the moisture can make hard floors very slippery!
- Do not remove any protectors we may have left under furniture until 48 hours after cleaning and the carpet is completely dry.
- Do not place items back onto carpet until dry and please do not slide heavy furniture back into place until completely dry.
- Do not walk on carpet in outdoor shoes or soil will transfer we can provide overshoes.
- Please don’t wear coloured socks or slippers on the wet carpet (dye may transfer)
- Please aid the drying process by ensuring rooms are warm and well ventilated (security / weather permitting) please open windows for a through draught.
